Bobby Dean Forrest, age 73 of Ozark, Missouri passed away Monday, July 4, 2022, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. He was born December 14, 1948, in Modesto, California, the son of Willard and Lorene (Hicks) Forrest. On February 10, 1984, Bob was united in marriage to the love of his life, Terri Payne.

Bob was a well-known Christian County resident and former businessman. During 1986 to 2012, Bob and Terri owned and operated Ozark Tire. After selling the business, retirement was the perfect fit for Bob. He loved the outdoors and participated crew chief for his son Rusty during his dirt track racing. Hunting, fishing, and NASCAR were among his other favorite pastimes. Bob was also a member of the Sparta Masonic Lodge #296 and a member of the Shriners. He was a generous man and willingly helped others without being recognized. His big heart led to a strong bond and complete attachment to loving his best friend and favorite rescue dog, Coco. Bob will be sadly missed but his loving memory will live on forever in the hearts of his wonderful family and friends.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Terri; three daughters Heather VanHorn and husband Tom, Lisa Moore and husband Terry, Lyndsey Childers and Dr. Ben Childers; two sons Matthew Forrest and wife Tracy, Rusty Forrest and Chelsea; sister Reba Greer and husband Mike; brother Gordon Forrest and wife Helen; 12 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and many caring friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and an infant grandson, Jeremiah.

Celebration of Life Services for Bob will be 11:00 AM Saturday, July 9, 2022 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Donations are suggested to Rescue One, 1927-B East Bennett Street, Springfield, MO 65804.
