Graveside service will be conducted Sunday, 3PM, in the Vanceboro Cemetery.
Bobby was a lifelong resident of Craven County. He was employed with the Town of Vanceboro; and was an avid hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lemuel and Bernice Anderson Lane; and a sister, Shirley Taylor.
Surviving are his:
brother, Linwood Lane of Ernul;
sister, Margaret Ellis of Vanceboro;
niece, Carmen Ellis of Vanceboro;
four nephews, Anthony Lassetter of Durham,
Christopher Lassetter of Vanceboro,
Alex Taylor of New Bern, and
Rodney Taylor of Oklahoma.

I´m really sorry about Bobby´s passing. Going to miss him. I had a lot of fun with him from the past, And glad to meet him long time ago.

I sure enjoyed all the front porch chats shared with my neighbor Bobby. He always had a funny story to tell. He was our neighborhood watch. Nothing got past him. You and Leon can once again set on the porch and chat in heaven. You will forever be loved and missed. My prayers are with LP and the family.
