Bobby Peek

Bobby Peek, 91, of Asheville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 17, 2025.

Bobby was born on November 27, 1933 in Madison County, NC, to his late parents, George and Janet Peek. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Ava S. Peek, sister Kay Boone, and brother, Tom Peek and his wife Barbara.

Bobby was a veteran of the United States Army. Upon his return home, he attended college to pursue a master's degree which led him to become a County Extension Agent with the Agriculture Extension Office from which he retired. He was a longstanding member of Biltmore Church, becoming a Greeter, serving on several mission trips, and working as a Call Center Counselor for the Billy Graham crusades. He was a true servant of the Lord, leading many folks to Christ over his long years. He will be greatly missed by the many lives he touched.

Left to cherish his memory are: three daughters, Kim P. Robinson and her husband Jerry of Marshall, NC, Teresa P. Hall and her husband Dan of Manchester, TN, and Bobbie P. Thorpe of Fairview, NC; five grandchildren, Brandon (Kate) Hall, Danielle Hall, Dr. Kaylib (Alex) Rhinehart, Hanna (Wesley) Shelmire, and Jeremiah Robinson; brother-in-law, Charles Boone; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at 5:00 pm in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Services with Reverend Kelvin Moseley officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 at the funeral home prior to the service.

A family burial will be at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery on Monday, August 25th at 10:00 am.
