Bobby Gordon Sowder, age 70, of Berea, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on the 4th of July, 2025, in Richmond, Kentucky. Born on the 13th of July, 1955, in Berea, he was a cherished son, husband, father, and brother.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Sowder, a guiding force in his life. He leaves behind loved ones to cherish his memory, including his devoted mother, Charity Irene Sowder; his loving wife, Yvonne Schenck; his treasured daughter, Charity Barnes; and his caring brother, David Sowder and his wife Angie. Each of these family members played a significant role in Bobby's story, providing him with love, support, and shared memories that will endure.
A proud graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Bobby's professional life was marked by his tenure as an Electronic Technician.
Beyond the professional realm, Bobby nourished a zest for life through his varied interests. From the simple pleasure of playing video games to the complex work of computer technology, he reveled in the digital world's evolution and the community it fostered. Photography, another of Bobby's passions, allowed him to capture life's fleeting moments, transforming them into lasting snapshots of time for all to enjoy.
