Bobby Stephens

Bobby Stephens was born in Gainesville, Ga on April 26th, 1956, to the late Mr. Johnson and Mrs. Lillie Mae Stephens. Mr. Stephens was member of the Antioch Baptist Church where he served on the Usher Ministry, graduated from Johnson High School and later attended Gainesville Junior College. Following his
education, he proudly enlisted in the United States Army. After his military service he served as member of
the American Legion Post 328. He became a successful entrepreneur, founding Stephens Home Improvement.
A generous pillar of the community, Mr. Stephens touched countless lives with his wisdom, larger-than
life personality, and unwavering spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Mr. Stephens was preceded in death by his parents, Johnson and Lillie Mae Stephens; one son, Decoris
Rucker; two brothers, John Willie Stephens and Jack Charles Stephens; and two sisters, Pinky Dora Lee
Demory and Christine Stephens Rowe.
Mr. Stephens is survived by his children: Satonya Cotton, Keisha (Vonell) Bates, Camille Rubin, Jermaine
Payne, Torez Williams, Bobby (Chiffon) Stephens, and Autumn Humphries; 21 grandchildren; 11 great
grandchildren; four brothers, Freddie Stephens, Kenneth Brewster Stephens Sr., Willie Nathaniel
Stephens, and Charles Wright; one sister, Emma Lou Hunter, one uncle AJ Stephens; and a host of nieces
