It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bogdan Kazimierz Mikolajczyk, 82 of Aurora, IL on May 12, 2025. Bogdan was born in Poland where he met his wife, Zosia (Sophie), and celebrated 55 years of marriage last year. He was a loving father to their two daughters, Alexandra and Magdalena (husband Phillip Serna). In 1977, Bogdan and Zosia (Sophie) immigrated to the USA with their two daughters where they established their lives. Bogdan earned his Master's Degree in mechanical engineering and worked internationally on hydropower projects specializing in gates and cranes. Bogdan was an avid tennis player and enjoyed playing tennis well into his 70's as well as enjoyed watching all the tennis tournaments on television. Bogdan was a proud grandfather to his three grandchildren, Jacob (20), Mandy (18), and Natalia (16). We will miss his laughter, his storytelling, his staunch support of his family and his loving arms. His loving family in the USA and Poland will always keep him in their hearts. May he rest in eternal peace. Pokój z toba.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 from 10:00 AM until a funeral service at 12:00 PM (Noon) at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL., 60543. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Aurora, IL.
