Bonna "Bonnie" Volland, of Billings, MO, went home to be with the Lord, with her loving family by her side, on July 16, 2025, at the age of 80. She was born on October 29, 1944, in Sparta, MO, to Lester and Lois (Fink) Swearengin and was the youngest of six children in the home.
Bonnie's mother passed away when Bonnie was four years old, and she was lovingly raised by Adah Rich, who married her father in 1950. She graduated from Republic High School in 1962. On April 13, 1963, Bonnie married Gary Volland, and this union was blessed with three children, Jeanete, Greg, and Cindy. Bonnie worked at the Assembly of God Headquarters in their printing department for several years before taking a position at Eagle Business Forms. Her experience in printing led her and Gary to establish Republic Printing, which they owned and operated for many years until their retirement. The business remains in the care of her loving children, who carry on the legacy. Bonnie loved the Lord, had a strong faith, and was an active member of Marionville Assembly of God. Her true passion was taking care of others; she spent most of her life caring for family and friends, and she cherished the time she spent as a hospice volunteer. Bonnie was a woman of many skills and talents. She enjoyed helping others, spending time with family and friends, traveling, spending time working on her yard, and working with her hands. She liked doing ceramics, stained glass, jigsaw puzzles and even building most of their home in Billings.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Gary; daughter, Jeanete; parents, Lester and Lois; her stepmother, Adah; and all five of her siblings: Buena Huffman, Paul Swearengin, Vern Swearengin, Janice Sparkman, Danny Joe Swearengin and son in law Brad Morton.
She is survived by her son, Greg Volland and wife, Tammy of Billings; daughter, Cynthia Morton of Republic; grandchildren, Jeremy Volland, Dayna Volland, Kymberly (Houston) Harness, and Devin (Melissa) Morton; sister-in-law, Donna Swearengin; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
A Visitation is scheduled for Monday, July 21, 2025, from 10-11 a.m. at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic. Funeral Services will follow at 11 and she will be laid to rest next to her loving husband in Mt. Olive Cemetery in McKinley, MO.
Memorial donations may be made in Bonnie's name to Marionville Assembly of
God Church, 701 Collier St, Marionville, MO 65705.
