OBIT FOR BONNIE MARIE BLAKELEY BERAN

Services for Bonnie Marie Blakeley Beran will be held Wednesday, September 17, at Fall Creek Funeral Home in Pineville with Bro. Abram O'Connor officiating. Visitation will be at 3 p.m. at Fall Creek Funeral Home with the service at 4 p.m.

Burial will be in the Dry Prong Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to honor her memory by wearing something colorful, reflecting the brightness she brought to every life she touched.

Bonnie, 54, lovingly known as "Bia Rose," went to Heaven to be with the Lord September 11, 2025 at Saint Louis University Hospital ICU in St. Louis, Missouri, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on June 2, 1971 in Alexandria, Louisiana, and resided in Arnold, Missouri.

Bonnie is survived by her beloved husband, Michael E. Beran, and their two sons, Michael David Beran (oldest) of Oxnard, Calif., and Chance Michael Beran (youngest) of Sacramento, Calif. She was the cherished daughter of Ruth Blakeley and the late Max Blakeley. She is also survived by her siblings: brothers MarcusBlakeley (Doris), Joel Blakeley (Janet), and sister Holly Jo Linzay (Rodney).

Bonnie dedicated her life to helping others. She worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor and served as a sign-language interpreter. Bonnie was co-owner and co-founder of Wildlife Command Center and Raptor Rescue Inc. Her compassion shone especially bright in her work with individuals with special needs.

All throughout high school and for several years afterward, Bonnie worked on staff at Lion's Camp in Anacoco, La. She also served as the Lion's Camp lifeguard. Later, she worked at Camp Summit in Texas with special needs children. She was an active member of Faith Church in St. Louis, Mo., serving in street missions, the food bank ministry, the clothes closet, prayer ministry and the hospitality team always offering a hand to those in need.

While attending Grant High School in Dry Prong, Bonnie was on the school's Golden Girls Dance Line and played the flute and piccolo in the band. Bonnie earned a bachelor's degree in Deaf Education and Sign Language at the University of Little Rock, Ark. Later, she obtained her master's degree in counseling at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La.

Known for her sweet soul and generous heart, Bonnie was a woman who lived by her motto: "Be a Rose." She found joy in the Lord Jesus, her family, in music, community service, crafting and animals. Her faithful dog, "Dub," was a close companion. She leaves a legacy of love and grace that will never fade.

In lieu of flowers or plants, memorial contributions may be made to Bonnie's GoFundMe to help cover medical expenses incurred during her valiant fight against anaplastic thyroid cancer.
