She was born in Harford County, Maryland, on March 6, 1956, to the late Benjamin Daniel Cleary and Emel Louise Anderson.
Bonnie was known for a heart full of kindness, a sharp sense of humor that could light up any room, and an unshakable strength that carried her through life's many chapters. She was a devoted mother, beloved grandmother, and a true friend to many.
A hard worker all her life, Bonnie believed in doing things the right way-with determination, grace, and a bit of grit. Her strong will and tireless work ethic were matched only by her generous spirit and quick wit.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughters: Angela Joyner (Steve) of Sanford, NC; Terri Lockamy (Lonnie) of Carthage, NC; Joyce Johnson of Cameron, NC; and Tonia Godfrey (John) of Sanford, NC; brother, David Cleary (Sheryl) of Monroe, NC; sisters, Barbara Churchill of Greensboro, NC, and Betty Worsham of Sanford, NC; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate Bonnie's life will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Ray Boden officiating.
