Diana Jo Nedrow, 73, passed away peacefully in her home on February 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Diana's life was defined by love, strength, and unwavering dedication to those she cherished most.
Born on February 22, 1951, Diana married the love of her life and best friend, David L. Nedrow, on March 9, 1967. Together, they built a life filled with love, hard work, and deep-rooted family values. Determined and strong-willed, Diana balanced raising four children while pregnant and still found the time and energy to return to school to become a highly skilled registered nurse-a testament to her perseverance and dedication. Over the years, their family continued to grow, and she and David were blessed with six children, each of whom she loved fiercely and devoted herself to completely.
Diana's passion for family led her and David to fulfill their dream of moving to a farm, where she became the heart and soul of their home. A natural caretaker, she took on the role of the farm's veterinarian, tending to their animals with skill and compassion. Nearly everything the family ate was made from what they raised, and Diana was well known for her homemade cakes, pies, cookies, and bread. Every meal she prepared was a feast, turning even ordinary days into celebrations of togetherness and love.
A woman who found joy in making others happy, Diana made holidays and special occasions truly magical for her children and grandchildren. She had a gift for creating warmth and wonder, ensuring that every gathering was filled with love, laughter, and the delicious food she so effortlessly prepared.
Her kindness extended beyond her immediate family, as she selflessly cared for her in-laws in their final days, honoring their wish to remain in their home. Her heart knew no limits when it came to looking after others.
Diana also had a passion for travel, exploring places like Maine-where she visited 13 times-as well as Florida, the Outer Banks, Las Vegas, Washington, D.C., and many more. But above all else, becoming "Gram" was the greatest joy of her life. Her grandchildren were her world, and she embraced every moment with them wholeheartedly.
Diana leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and generosity. Her spirit will live on in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her, and her memory will be cherished forever.
She is survived by her loving husband David L. Nedrow; children Darrin (Kelly) Nedrow, David J. Nedrow, Darla (Kenny) Alsept, Dusty (Eric) Merkys, Darcy (Mike) Tenney and Daniel Nedrow; grandchildren Kaeli (Michael) Jeffers, Alex (Sean) Twigg, Cole (Aundrea) Gehrisch, Travis Nedrow, Haven (Jake) Busch, Madison Carns, Zachary Carns, Brianna Nedrow, Anden Merkys and Ella Merkys; great-grandchildren Aubrey, Aria, Amelia, Elliot and baby girl Jeffers on the way; her immediate family she loved so dearly including her mother Maxine Gibson; sisters Beverly (Dale) Dixon, Joyce (Joe) Picking and Kimberly Gibson; Aunt Pete and Uncle Tom; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her father Denzel Gibson.
Although no public services will be held, the family hopes that you will remember Diana in your own special way.
