Bonnie Faye Stricklen, 84, of Burnsville, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at her home. Bonnie was a very active member of Southwest Baptist Church in Burnsville for a long time. Her faith played a huge role in her life, and she loved her church. If the doors were open, she was there being involved in any way she could. She was an incredibly kind and caring woman, and her spunky personality made her perfect for her career as a home health Nursing Assistant, which she did for over 20 years. Bonnie liked to stay busy, so she had many hobbies, including cooking, gardening, traveling, and painting. Most of all, however, she loved spending time with her family. She took any chance she got to see them and always wanted to be around her grandchildren.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Sheila Crawford; her grandchildren, Corey Gist, Catie Stricklen Rodgers, Kayla Vaughn, Dallas Stricklen Wilkerson, and Olivia Stricklen Vanderford; her great-grandsons, Jax, Easton, Jase, Asher, and Ace; her sister, Betty Phillips (Arnold); and a host of other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Stricklen; her son, James Wade Stricklen; her parents, Leonard and Melissa Hulsey; and her siblings, Lillie Mae Hulsey, Odis Hulsey, Voncille Barnett, Jack Hulsey, Barbara Shirley, Dee Hulsey, Jimmy Hulsey, and Connie Hulsey.
Cutshall Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Bobby Johnson and Bro. Chuck Clement. Interment will be in Little Flock Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will include her great-grandsons, Jax, Easton, Jase, Asher, and Ace. Memorials may be made in Bonnie’s honor to the American Kidney Fund or the American Diabetes Association.
