Boyd DeWayne Denton

Boyd DeWayne Denton, age 59 of Dandridge, TN passed away Saturday morning, July 6, 2024, at Life Care Center of Jefferson City. He was a member of Nina Baptist Church and was an employee of Life Care Center as an educational administrator. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ponder and Helen Strange, and Wayne and Toni Denton; uncles, George, Larry and Jerry Denton and Curt Mason; aunts, Delores Mason and Betty Denton. DeWayne is survived by his parents, Robert and Donnie Denton; sister, Ponnie (John) Jones; nieces, Haley and Sarah Grace Jones; uncles, Michael, Charles (Susan) Denton, Rickey (Gail) Denton, Steve Denton and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Nina Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 8, 2024, at 7:00pm at Nina Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Norris and Reverend Wayne McKinney officiating. Graveside interment will be Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 1:00pm at Swanns Chapel Cemetery. The body will lie in state on Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 1:00pm until 5:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge, TN and the family will receive friends Monday prior to the funeral service from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the church.
