Brad Easley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McNeil's Funeral Service on Aug. 12, 2024.
Brad Easley, April 16, 1953-August 6, 2024
Bradford "Brad" T. Easley sadly left us on August 6, 2024, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Born on April 16, 1953 in Texarkana, Arkansas, to Hubert and Bobbie Stone Easley, Brad attended Arkansas High School where he excelled in sports, graduating in 1971.
After graduation, Brad spent many days and hours on the road with his friends on motorcycle trips. He graduated from the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville with a Bachelor's of Science in Engineering and a lifelong passion for Razorback sports.
Brad built a successful career as an oil and gas engineer, based in Houston, Texas. His profession sent Brad all over the world, working in and traveling to countless countries and six continents.
In 1987, Brad married the love of his life, Rita Taylor Easley. The two made their home in Kingwood, Texas, and welcomed their son, Tyler, in 1989. He had an affection for water, boats and beaches, spending summers out on the water, taking his family on camping and beach trips.
Above all, Brad was dedicated to his faith and family. He was a devout follower of Christ, and his faith kept him hopeful and strong in his battle. He enjoyed more than anything, being with this his family. Brad, Rita and Tyler, along with his "baby" dog Harley, spent time watching Houston Astros baseball games, football, family meals where Brad would often practice his master grilling skills, and hanging out on Lake Murray where Brad was the D.J. and Captain of their boat, Plum Crazy.
He is fondly remembered by those who knew and loved him as highly intelligent, curious - always on a quest to solve a problem or learn something new, hysterically funny, and an incredible storyteller.
Proceeded in death by his mother Bobbie, Brad is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rita Taylor Easley, son Tyler Easley (both of Edmond, OK), father Hubert Easley of Texarkana, AR., sister Brenda Easley King of Savannah, GA., stepchildren Ashley Barcum (of Oklahoma City) and Jeremy Barcum (of Edmond), and step-grandchildren Aiden, Addison, Oliver "Bug" Barcum and Grayson Pierce-Barcum (all of Edmond, OK).
Funeral services will be held Thursday August 15, 2024 at 11AM at McNeils Funeral Chapel, 525 West Highway 152, Mustang, OK, 73064. Internment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, 1001 E. Rock Creek Road, Tuttle, OK, 73089.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Research Institute, cancerresearch.org.
