Martha Melton Easley, 84, a homemaker, died January 16, 2026, at home. Visitation is Tuesday, January 20, 2026, 1:00pm - 2:00pm at Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS. Funeral services are 2:00pm Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS with burial in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lyon, MS. Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling the arrangements.
Martha had a deep love for her family, who were always the center of her life. She enjoyed spending time working on word puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, activities that brought her both joy and peace. Martha also had a special love for animals of all kinds, especially the raccoons, which reflected her appreciation for God's creation. She was a longtime and devoted member of Oakhurst Baptist Church, where her faith and fellowship meant a great deal to her.
Survivors include her sons Larry Easley of Hogansville, GA, Bobby (Kim) Easley of Lyon, MS; daughter Mary (Allan "Colton") Pearson of Sumner, MS; sisters Odell (Rodney) Knighton of Oxford, MS, Sherron (Danny) Redwine of Bruce, MS, Shelia Jenkins of Oxford, MS; grandchildren Jana (TJ) Lee, Leigha (Mike) Smith, Evan Easley, Bradley (Michelle) Easley, Blake (Nicole) Easley, Dylan Easley, Corey (Candace) Fortner, Matthew (Courtney) Fortner; twelve great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband Robert Easley; parents Rance & Ivy Dunn Melton; sister Barbara Albritton.
