Braden Michael Leroy Cates, 18, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on January 18, 2026, at his home in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Braden was born on January 6, 2008, to Michael Cates and Ashley Gulledge in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Braden Michael Leroy Cates enjoyed playing video games, basketball, pretty much anything with a motor in it, he loved. He enjoyed life with his family.
Braden is survived by his father and stepmom Michael and Jessie Cates, his mom Ashley Gulledge, his 3 sisters Haylee Cates, Ivie Mohr, Joshlyn Mohr, and brother Daniel Bright Jr. His grandfather Michael Ray Cates, grandparents, Barbara and Kenneth Mills, Alvin and Theresa Gulledge, John Maulden and Donna Stow. Nieces Lillian Root, Alora Bristol, and Autumn Bristol, and numerous aunts, uncles, and other family members who loved him dearly.
The Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday 01-31-2026, at Palace of Praise Church at 11:00am. With Cassie King officiating the services.
