Bradley T. Haas, 63, died November 17, 2023 while on duty as a Security Officer at The New Hampshire Hospital.
Brad was the son of Donald and Virginia Haas of Franklin NH. He grew up in Franklin NH, and attended Franklin High School. He went on to serve his country as a Military Police Officer in the US Army before fulfilling his childhood dream of becoming a police officer in his hometown. Brad served his community for 26 years, rising through the ranks to ultimately preside as Chief of Police for the City of Franklin.
After retirement, Brad worked for the US Postal Service, and most recently as a Security Officer for the State of NH at The New Hampshire Hospital.
Brad was a quiet and humble man who loved spending time with his son. They shared a love for aviation and US History. Brad could often be found with a good book in his hands. He will always be remembered for his quiet demeanor, and simple acts of kindness.
Brad was predeceased by his father Donald Haas. He leaves behind his mother, Virginia Haas of Franklin NH, sister Cindy Bronson of Wilmington NC, sister Deborah Freni and husband Joseph of Franklin NH, sister Sharon Sorette and husband Bruce of Epsom NH, and his beloved son Connor Haas of Somersworth NH, as well as his nieces and nephews: Jeff Seavey, Dylan Freni, Austin Sorette, Mackenzie Sorette, Callum Bronson and Nikki Bronson.
A police escort through the city of Franklin on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 4:30pm will proceed past the Franklin Police Department on Central St. and continue to the Winnisquam High School in Tilton where the public is invited to attend a memorial ceremony in honor of Brad beginning at 5pm.
A burial with full military honors will be held privately at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Brad's memory may be made to Special Olympics, 2600 Virginia Ave. NW, 11th Floor, Washington, DC 20037.
