Bradley Eldon Langer passed away unexpectedly on February 20, 2023, at the age of 62. He was born on October 14, 1960, in Red Wing, Minnesota; the son of Eldon and Mary Lou (Lantz) Langer. He graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1979. Brad was united in marriage to Cheryl Ann Rieck in Hager City on November 10, 1979. He spent his younger years farming and working at Wilson Oil Co. in Red Wing, MN. After farming, Brad thoroughly enjoyed the freedom of driving semi and has done so his entire adult life, most recently for Beskau Transport LLC. in Hastings, MN.
Brad enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing for sunfish on small Wisconsin lakes and salmon on Lake Michigan, motorcycle rides with his wife Cheryl and Gator rides with his grandkids. He was a good cook, baker, and an excellent grillmaster. He loved attending his grandkids' sporting events, concerts, and livestock shows at the Pierce County Fair.
Brad was a loving husband to Cheryl; a devoted dad to Stacey (Andy) Galle, Julie Langer, Kimberly Langer, Kristen (Jacob) Kolodzienski; a fun grandpa to Isaac, Mason, Taylor, Weston, Harlow, Graham, Bradley, Brett, Morgan, Ava, Lane; a cherished brother to Deborah Postema, Donald Langer, Karyl Muehlbauer, Kevin Langer, Todd Langer; mother in law, Connie Rieck; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Eldon and Mary Lou Langer, father-in-law Donald Rieck; and sister Brenda Lou White.
Visitation will be 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Sunday, February 26, 2023. Immediately following the visitation, a prayer service honoring Brad will be at 7:00pm at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home of Ellsworth. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
