Brandice Renee Williams
October 2, 1985 – September 8, 2025
Gone Too Soon
Brandice Williams (Brandi as her friends and family called her) was born on October 2, 1985 to Manette Beckles (deceased) and Edward Williams. On the day she was born, she was so tiny, she literally fit into the palm of Edward's hand, and since that day she has always been a fighter.
Brandi spend her early years as a child in Mount Vernon, NY and then later relocated to New Jersey where her whit and charisma followed. After graduating from high school, she began her journey into adulthood exploring her love for music by recording music. After attending a few local colleges in New Jersey her latest endeavor brought her to Virginia. Through many of life's ups and downs one of her biggest accomplishments came in 2008, when Brandi gave birth to her daughter Kailyn, who was her primary focus and the love of her life. All that she did was in an effort to make a better life for her and her daughter and to set a good example for Kailyn as she grows into adulthood.
While in Virgina Brandi worked hard towards her education and she attended and graduated from Westwood College with her diploma as a Certified Medical Assistant and then went on to attend and graduate from Norfolk State University with her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Administration. This was one of her proudest moments as she was excited to graduate from her beloved HBCU and "BEHOLD the GREEN and GOLD". This Fall, she started her Master's program at Norfolk State in Healthcare Administration.
Brandi's career was always focused on healthcare. She always had a gift for striking up a conversation with anyone. Throughout her extensive healthcare career, she worked as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), a Phlebotomist, Front Desk Receptionist and Clinical Operations Representative. In her spare time, she loved sports, especially New York football and basketball. Her favorite teams were the NY Giants, and the NY Knicks and she loved yelling at the TV. Most recently, she and Kailyn developed a love of the WNBA, traveling to Mystics and Wings games. While sports were her thing, Brandi loved music! Even from a young age, Brandi was in the Grace Baptist Church Choir. Everywhere she went she always had a song ready. Among her favorite artists were Jay Z, Chris Brown, Omarion and Tank. She knew the words to almost every album she had and would break out in song to most R & B and Hip-Hop hits. She was the self-proclaimed Karaoke Queen. Determined to make her musical dreams a reality she even tried out for American Idol. Aside from singing Brandi also loved to read, dance (well two step) and travel! She was feisty, vibrant, and witty with a quick tongue, but most importantly, she was full of life and love. Though she is no longer with us, her laughter, strength, and spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Brandi lived in Virginia with her daughter until her untimely passing on Monday, September 8, 2025. She leaves to mourn her mother, Manette (deceased), her father, Edward, her beloved daughter, Kailyn, her step-mother, Cheryl, her step-brothers, Chayton and Evan and a host of family and friends who will love and cherish her memory.
She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
