Brandon William Burnett passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. He was 39 years old. Brandon was born February 25, 1985, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to James Bailey Burnett and Mary Beth Muller Burnett. A graduate of Dutchtown High School, Brandon pursued a successful career as a welder/pipefitter. He worked at several companies throughout the Baton Rouge area, including Excel and Formosa Plastics. His work ethic and dedication to his craft was obvious to all those he worked for and with.
He is preceded in death by his father; his paternal grandparents, James and Bertha Burnett; his maternal grandparents, Alfred and Ernestine Muller; his uncle, Eric Muller, and his aunts, Gay Nell Eckert and Jimmie Lee Craft. Brandon is survived by his mother Mary Beth Burnett and her partner, Kevin Powers; his sister Allyson Burnett Ghetti; and his brother Michael Burnett and his partner, Elizabeth Grafton. He is also survived his girlfriend, Courtney Boyd; his nephew Greyson Vitale; his niece Julianna Ghetti; and Elizabeth’s daughter, Charlotte Grafton; as well as numerous other family and friends.
Brandon was happiest hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. As a young child, he would fix school equipment for his teachers. His talent to fix anything was something he was very proud of and one that his family was thankful for on many occasions. Brandon’s recipes for boiling crawfish and peanuts will be cherished by all who had the opportunity to try these culinary delights! He was kind, generous and loving. The countless memories made will carry us through this time.
