Brandon Lee Gentry, 28, of Shelbyville, TN passed unexpectedly in an automobile accident on July 22, 2024. Brandon was a 2013 graduate of Community High School. Brandon was known for his sharp wit and boundless humor, Brandon had a way of lighting up every room he entered. His intelligence was as vast as his creativity, always dreaming up new ideas and projects.
Brandon was not only smart and funny but also deeply caring and compassionate. He had a heart of gold and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need.
A passionate car enthusiast, Brandon could often be found under the hood, tinkering away or admiring the beauty of a well-crafted machine.
Brandon’s life, though far too short, was filled with joy, love, and laughter. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth and creativity that will forever live in our hearts.
Brandon is predeceased by his mother, Kristi Gentry, and grandfather, Jerry Hicks. He is survived by parents, Marty & Gwen Gentry, Lynchburg, TN; siblings, Sydney Gentry, Lawrenceburg TN, Haiden Penrod, Chapel Hill, TN, Riley Penrod, Chapel Hill, TN, Skylar Gentry, Lynchburg, TN, Shelby Hurst, Lynchburg, TN; grandparents, Greg and Debbie Penrod, Chapel Hill, TN, Mary Hicks, Lynchburg, TN, Tom and Diane Owens of Pulaski, TN.
Brandon had four nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The celebration will take place on October 13, 2024, at Henry Horton State Park, Shelter One, 4209 Nashville Highway, Chapel Hill, TN 37034, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Remarks will be given at 2:00 p.m., and light refreshments will be served.
