Brandon Scott Jones, 27, of Grantville, died August 1, 2024, from injuries sustained in a boating accident near Franklin, Georgia.
Born November 4, 1996, in Newnan, Georgia, he was a son of Lee Edward Jones, Jr. and Tina Pratt Crider Jones. Brandon was dedicated to his work in maintenance at Yamaha, where his hardworking nature and reliability were deeply valued. An avid outdoorsman, Brandon found solace and joy in the simplicity of nature. Hunting and fishing were not just hobbies for him, but a way of connecting with the world and sharing his passion with those he loved. His adventurous spirit was matched only by the size of his heart, especially when it came to his children. Brandon was an exemplary father, showering his children with love and teaching them the value of both kindness and resilience. He approached life with an open heart, ready to lend a hand or share a moment of joy. His passing in Franklin, Georgia, leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, but he leaves a legacy of love, adventure, and an unwavering commitment to family. Brandon will be profoundly missed, yet his memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to feel the warmth of his big heart.
Survivors include his children, Bryghten Lucyann Jones, and Harper Lucyann Jones; his parents, Tina and Lee Jones; brother, Richard Lee Jones and his wife Halie; grandmother, Elizabeth Crider; uncles, Charles Scott Crider, Eddie Lee Strickland, and Robert Strickland; aunts, Tammie Brown, June Jones, and Kathy Jones; nephew, Remington Jones; nieces, Blake Jones, Kennedi Jones, and Austyn Jones; and numerous cousins, friends, and his Yamaha family.
A service to celebrate Brandon's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Hillcrest Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
