Brenda Carol Blankenship, a devoted mother, grandmother, and retired nurse, passed away on August 15, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on October 28, 1945, in Pike County, Kentucky, Brenda was known for her loving and generous spirit. Brenda dedicated her professional life to caring for others having spent 35 years as a nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital, a career that she proudly cherished. She graduated from Sinclair Nursing School, equipping her with the skills and compassion that would define her professional journey. She always felt that nursing was her calling and her nurturing nature and commitment to her patients were a testament to her character, establishing her as a valued member of the nursing community.

In her personal life, Brenda was a cornerstone of her family, finding joy in every moment spent with loved ones. She is survived by her son, Greg (Cheryl) Blankenship, and her daughter, Angie (Mike) Steinke. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Mikey and Kristen Steinke, who were sources of great pride and joy in her life. Brenda is also survived by her brothers, Robbie Dotson and Michael Wolford, her sister, Kaye Blankenship, as well as her special nephew, Danny Blankenship, and her beloved grandpup, Charlie.

Brenda is preceded in death by her father, Jack Dotson, her mother, Norcie Wolford, and several siblings. Her warmth and compassion touched everyone who knew her, and she will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.

Brenda's life was characterized by her unwavering support for others, exemplifying honesty and integrity. Her legacy as a nurturing and loving woman will forever be remembered in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.
