Carolyn Judy Blankenship

Mrs. Carolyn Judy Blankenship, age, 70, of Griffin, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at her residence.
Mrs. Blankenship was born on July 6, 1955 in Griffin. She was the daughter of the late James and Carolyn Fay Cobb Smith and Wesley Pendley She retired after many years of service from the United States Postal Service where she was a mail carrier. She was the matriarch of her family and will be forever loved and remembered as an amazing, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She adored and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Prior to her health declining she loved to work in her yard and garden. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Clay Blankenship Sr.; grandson, Bobby Clay Blankenship III; brother, Keith Rivers.
Survivors included her daughter, Marie Blankenship Nicholson; son and daughter-in-law, Clay Blankenship Jr and Stacey Blankenship; grandchildren, Whitney Goodman (Cody), Micah Nicholson, Victoria Blankenship, Kipsey Nicholson, Liam Blankenship, Anzlee Blankenship; great-grandchildren, Asher Goodman and Ilaria Goodman; godson and special nephew, Flint Rivers; sister, Tammy Hunley; brother, Roger Rivers; half-brother, Bug Smith; half-sister, Shani Smith; special friends, Susan Babb and Dana Phillips; nieces, nephews, and other family.
Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Judy Blankenship will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Westwood Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
