Brenda Kay (Martin) Bray, 66, of Monrovia, IN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6th, 2025, in her home while in the care of her family. Brenda was born on August 17th, 1958, in Martinsville, IN, to the late Julian "Dink" Dean Martin and Esther (Bryant) Martin, who survives.
Brenda graduated from Monrovia High School in 1976, where she formed lifelong friendships and developed her caring spirit that would define her throughout her life. On April 25th, 1981, Brenda married the love of her life, Lee Alan Bray. They were blessed with 41 years of marriage filled with devotion, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. Together, they raised two sons, Andrew Lee Bray and Matthew Douglas Bray, who were the pride and joy of her life.
Throughout her life, Brenda was known for her generosity and kindness. She found true happiness in helping others and was a loyal friend to many. As a mother, she was patient, supportive, and loving, always placing her family's needs before her own. Her warm personality and compassionate nature touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Brenda leaves behind her loving husband, Lee Bray of Monrovia; sons, Andrew and Matthew Bray both of Vicksburg, Mississippi; mother, Esther Martin of Monrovia; sister, Debbie Huff (husband, Gary) of Monrovia; nephews, Todd Huff of Monrovia and Brad Huff of Indianapolis; along with many dear friends and extended family members who will forever cherish her memory.
Preceding Brenda in death was her father, Julian "Dink" Dean Martin.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia. No formal services will be observed, and a private entombment of ashes will be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hall. Memorial contributions in Brenda's memory may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/donate, an organization whose mission to help children in need reflects Brenda's compassionate spirit.
