Honoring Brenda's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at Calvary Community Church 1201 W 12th St, Flint, MI 48507, October 3, 2025. Brenda was born November 11,1954, in Flint, Michigan to the late great Cleophas and Freeda (Higgerson) LeGrand. She grew up in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Flint Southwestern High School with the class of 1972. Although no school class was more important to her than the 1968 8th grade class of Holy Redeemer, and just to reassure all her 1968 yearbook friends... She did indeed "stay cool"
Brenda worked many jobs over the years. Special to her was many years at Eastown Bowl where she never met a stranger and formed lifelong friendships that meant so much to her. In 1995 she hired into Delphi and eventually retired in 2009 from General Motors where she worked the line acquiring 15 years of service. She also stayed busy working post-retirement part time at Clio Lanes. She was a member of USBC Bowling and served many roles in leagues throughout Genesee County. Bowling for most of her life, she was quite accomplished, but nothing made her prouder than her single game 299 on May 12, 1984. She was active till almost the end of her life, enjoying the leagues locally at Clio lanes.
Brenda also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, and traveling. Besides being an avid bowler, she enjoyed golfing. Brenda was a great cook and loved making Thanksgiving dinner for her ever-growing family. No ham or turkey dinner will be the same for them going forward. Not surprisingly, her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. She tried hard to make many of their events from ballfields to basketball courts, and especially enjoyed Mother's Day dance recitals, where she often dressed her best and never failed to be amazed each time a grandchild took the stage.
Surviving are Children, Sidney (Aundrea) Fullwood, Samantha (Robin) Hilliker, Stanton (Lindsay) Fullwood, Keith (Teresa) Cross; Grandchildren, Syrus, Saxton, Quinn, Nolan, Sawyer, Alden, Avery, Claire, Addisyn; Siblings, Janice Moffitt, Beverly (Robert) Labonte, Michael LeGrand; Several nieces, nephews and cousins who filled her heart. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Son, Ethan Cross; Siblings, Mark LeGrand, Steven and Kathy LeGrand; Dear friend Steven Nagy.
The family would like to express our thanks to "Favorite Neighbor" Patty LaDuke, for being the very best friend that a brown eyed girl could have.
