Brenda Jean Lingerfelt

Brenda Jean Lingerfelt (White), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, at the age of 79 in Forsyth County, North Carolina. Born on October 17, 1945, in Calhoun County, Alabama, Brenda brought warmth, love, and kindness to all who knew her.
Brenda dedicated over 20 years of her life sewing for Prestige Fabricators in Asheboro, where she was known for her diligence and skill. In her personal time, she had a passion for reading, cleaning her home, and spending cherished moments with her family. Her Sundays were often spent worshiping at church, reflecting her deep faith and community spirit.
Cooking was one of Brenda's greatest joys, and she delighted in preparing meals for her loved ones. She also loved traveling to the beach, finding peace and happiness in the sound of the waves and the feel of the sand beneath her feet.
Brenda is preceded in death by her father, Gene White; her mother, Margaret White; her sisters, LouAnn Workman and Susan Wingfield; Son-in-law, Keith Wingfield. She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Donald Lingerfelt; her children, Donna Dillon (Herbie), Cindy Day (Terry), and Charlie Lingerfelt (Lois); and her grandchildren, Josh Anderson, Caleb Anderson, Tyler Day, Katie Underwood, Nick Jacobs, Virginia Knight,, Robert Jenkins, Autumn Jenkins, Bridget Harris, Damien Harris. Brenda also leaves behind her adored great-grandchildren, Ava Anderson, Christian Anderson, and Julianna Jacobs, as well as her faithful dog, Teddy.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 18th, at 6 PM, Officiating Pastor Rodney Byrd, at the Cloverdale Church of the Living God, located at 2502 Surrett Drive, High Point, NC 27263. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Brenda's life and the indelible mark she left on those she loved.
