Mrs. Brenda Renee McAnally May 31, 1973 – May 24, 2025
Brenda Renee McAnally, known affectionately as Renee, passed away on May 24, 2025, at the age of 51 in New Tazewell. Born on May 31, 1973, in Pineville, Kentucky, Renee was a beacon of love and kindness, touching the lives of all who knew her. She was saved at an early age and was baptized on September 15, 2024.
She carried that warmth throughout her life, spreading it generously as a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. A dedicated and compassionate professional, Renee served as a registered nurse at UT Medical Center. Her colleagues and patients alike will remember her for the exceptional care and comfort she provided.
Renee's legacy is carried on by her husband Kevin McAnally, cherished children, Tyler and Tayla McAnally and (Jaris Bunch); her devoted mother, Brenda Masingo; and her sisters, April Widner and Amanda Sobecki. Her nieces, Faith Goins, and her husband, John, Savanna Masingo and fiancé Camren Collins also survive her. A special cousin and best friend Lisa Brock. Renee was a source of strength and inspiration for her family, and her love will continue to guide them.
Preceding her in death were her father, Freddie Davis; her brothers, Andy Davis and Nathan Davis; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Barbara McAnally. Her stepfathers, Chub Masingo and Bill Poore, also preceded her in death. Each of them held a special place in her heart.
As we bid farewell to Renee, we celebrate the time we were privileged to share with her. Her life was a beautiful example of love in action, and though she has left this world, her legacy of kindness and passion will continue to inspire us all.
In honoring Renee's life, we reflect on the moments of joy she gave us, the lessons of love she taught us, and the unwavering support she provided. May we find comfort in knowing that her journey was marked by purpose, her days by generosity, and her life by an unending capacity to care for others.
Renee's passing is not only a loss but also a reminder of the preciousness of life. Her story encourages us to cherish each moment, to love deeply, and to act kindly. May her soul rest in peace, and may her example continue to light the way for us all.
The family will receive friends Thursday May 29,2025 from 6pm till 7pm in the Claiborne ~ Overholt Funeral Home Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7pm in the Claiborne ~ Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry McAnally officiating. Music will be provided by Tony Jones.
