Brenda Louise Knight Schubert was born on November 12, 1952 in Saint Jo, Texas to Bobby Ray Knight and Norma Faye (Jones) Knight. She graduated from Permian High School in Odessa, Texas in 1971, and later attended the University of North Texas. She had several careers, but retired from working life from GuideStone Financial Resources in July of 2021, after beginning her career there in July 1998. She felt that her job was truly a ministry
She accepted Christ as her savior and was baptized in 1962 at Second Baptist Church in Vernon, Texas. She loved the Lord and tried to serve Him throughout her life. She especially enjoyed teaching the Bible to other women and to children.
She was a devoted wife and mother. She married Glenn in July 2000. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with friends. She pursued many different hobbies, which allowed her to express her creativity. She enjoyed cooking, reading, sewing, crocheting, card making, and several other crafts. She especially enjoyed them when she could spend time doing them with her friends.
Left behind are her husband, Glenn H. Schubert; son, William D. Woodson and his wife Stacy; half-brother, Lonnie R. Knight; and 3 grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
