Robert "James" Butcher, age 22, of Texas, passed away on February 24, 2026. Born on September 23, 2003, in Allen, Texas, James was the cherished son of Larry Ray Butcher and Karen Sue Butcher.

James was a devoted Christian whose faith was the foundation of his life. Strong in his beliefs and unwavering in his love for the Lord, he lived with kindness, conviction, and compassion that touched everyone around him. His gentle spirit and sincere heart were evident in the way he encouraged others and stood firm in what he believed.

From a young age, James was hardworking and driven. His first job, which he truly loved, was working alongside his father at LB Handy, where he not only learned valuable skills but treasured the time spent building something meaningful together. He later served as a shift manager at Culver's, where his leadership and work ethic shined. With an entrepreneurial spirit, James proudly started his own business, RJB Handyman, determined to serve others with integrity and excellence.

James was a gifted and well-rounded young man. A graduate with honors at the top of his high school class, he was a current student at the University of North Texas, continuing to pursue his education with ambition and dedication.

He found joy in life's simple and adventurous moments. James loved playing disc golf, writing heartfelt poetry, riding and working on his motorcycle, and spending hours reading books that challenged and inspired him. He enjoyed playing basketball with friends, cooking and experimenting with new recipes, and sharing laughter through gaming. An outdoor enthusiast, he cherished camping, fishing, and hiking. James also had a deep love for animals and treated every creature with gentleness and care.

Musically talented, James could beautifully play both the violin and guitar, expressing through music what words sometimes could not. His creativity, intelligence, and humor left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Above all, James deeply loved his family. He is lovingly survived by his parents, Larry and Karen Butcher; his sisters, Julie Sosa, Jennifer Nicole Butcher, Jessica Frenzel, and Chloe Jane May Butcher; his brothers, Forrest Akin and Jack Simon Butcher; and his beloved niece, Brooklyn Grace Ventimglia, whom he absolutely adored. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, and countless friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Though his time on earth was far too short, James's life was filled with purpose, faith, love, and light. His legacy of strength, devotion, and kindness will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
