Brenda Marie (Smith) Spencer, born on August 13, 1950, in Dayton, Tennessee, was a radiant presence whose warmth and love touched many lives. Brenda passed away on April 2, 2025, at The Meadows in Fulton, MS, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, beauty, and cherished memories.

With nearly 40 years dedicated to her career as a beautician, Brenda owned her own beauty shop in Amory, Mississippi, named Southern Style. Her passion for her work went beyond mere hairstyling; she had a unique talent for making her customers feel valued and beautiful, often leaving them looking like the beloved Dolly Parton. Many who entered her shop found not just a beautician, but a confidante and friend—Brenda's sweet and loving spirit resonated deeply in her community.

Brenda's educational journey took her from Amory High School to Vaughn's Beauty School, setting the foundation for her successful career. Her personality radiated warmth and compassion, yet she was never shy to speak her mind. Those who knew her cherished these qualities, reflecting her genuine nature as someone who could bring joy and laughter to any room.

An avid gardener, Brenda took great pride in keeping her yard immaculate. Her love for gardening mirrored her nurturing spirit—always tending to those around her with care and attention. She often enjoyed thrifting, finding hidden treasures that added charm to her home and life.

A devoted family member, Brenda found immense joy in her role as a mother and grandmother. She took pride in being the judge for her grandchildren's talent shows when they were little and cherished the nights they stayed over, creating bonds that will last a lifetime. She is survived by her beloved son, Don Ray Wall Jr.; her daughter, August Medlin (Bryan); and her grandchildren, Jonathan Wall, Austin McElwain (Claire), Dylan McElwain, and Jada McElwain.

Brenda shared a close relationship with her sister, Shirley Jones (Charles), and was lovingly supported by her cousins, Pete Grimes and Glenda Crowley (Jim). She also had a special bond with her niece, Sonya Pusser (Tim) and nephews, Chuck Jones (Sarah) and Corey Jones (Meagan), alongside her treasured cousin and best friend, Nancy Sides.

Throughout her life, Brenda surrounded herself with friends who were like family, including her dear friends Linda Brown, the late Beth Flurry, Mary Reeves, and Vernell. Each held a special place in her heart, contributing to the tapestry of love and laughter that defined her existence.

Brenda's journey now reunites her with those she loved who have passed before her, including Don Wall Sr., her children's father; her mother, Delois (Grimes) Randolph, and her grandparents, Pervie Lee and Nancy Grimes.

A visitation will be held on April 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, Mississippi. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life Service will take place at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Wesley Chapel in Houston, MS.

Brenda Marie (Smith) Spencer will be remembered not just for her remarkable career but for the laughter, love, and light she brought into the lives of so many. Her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her, as they carry forward her legacy of beauty, joy, and heartfelt connection.
