Brendia Usrey "Emaw", 82, of Logan, NM passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024 surrounded by her family in Amarillo, TX

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. (MST), Saturday October 19, 2024 at the Logan PAC Gym in Logan, NM with Keith Feerer officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. 

Brendia was born in Clarendon, TX to Lois and Willie (Barbee) Putman on August 9, 1942. She met Jack Usrey and they married in the year of 1961 in Clarendon, TX. During their first years of marriage they lived on numerous ranches throughout Texas and New Mexico. They brought three children into the world and soon settled in Logan, NM. She loved her family, community, and a long weekend on her back porch full of friends & family. She was an Emaw to her grandchildren and almost everyone who knew her. She could be spotted in her red jeep with her big wave and smile. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wright Putman; sister, Trula Shults; many friends she loved. 

She is survived by her husband of 63 years Jack Usrey of Logan, NM; son, Clint Usrey married to Shonda Usrey, of Bushland, TX; son, Brent Usrey, of Logan, NM; daughter, Jacqueline Usrey, of Tyler, TX; 7 grandchildren, Ty Swinney married to Brooks Swinney, of Amarillo, TX, Ashley Ledford married to James Ledford, of Amarillo, TX, Katlyn Butler married to Will Butler, of Stinnett, TX, Brian Usrey of Homedale, ID, Casey Usrey married to Sherai Usrey, of Mountain Home, ID, Belamie Usrey of Ontario, OR, Alissa Harmon of Amarillo, TX; 10 great grandchildren, Tash and Treyson, Rowdy and Hadley, Wyld and Benny, Dominic and Aurora, Lylith and Alawna; As well as the many friends that have became family over the years. 

Honorary pallbearers are each one of her great grandchildren.
