Obituary published on Legacy.com by Marietta Funeral Home & Crematory - Marietta on Feb. 11, 2026.
Brent Aronson, born October 5, 1977, passed away after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Above all, Brent was a proud and devoted father to his daughters, Brooklyn (14) and Kieran (13). He married Stephanie on May 14, 2022, in
Ooltewah, Tennessee. Together they built a life rooted in love, partnership, and quiet devotion. Their marriage was marked by steadiness, deep care, and shared joy.
Brent was the loving son of Grace Shealy and Larry Aronson, and the cherished stepson of Larry Shealy. He was a loyal brother to Nick Aronson (
Marietta, GA) and John Hawkins (
Jackson, MS), and a dear brother-in-law to John's wife, Dorothy.
A graduate of Pope High School, Brent attended LaGrange College, where he served as President of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. There, he formed lifelong friendships and demonstrated the calm leadership and integrity that defined his life. He later brought that same professionalism and genuine kindness to his career at Real Floors Commercial, where he was highly respected by colleagues and clients alike.
Brent had a deep love for golf-not just for its tranquility, but for the competition and camaraderie. A proud member of Indian Hills Country Club, he served on the Board of the Men's Golf Association. One of his proudest moments was winning the Member-Guest Tournament twice, both with dramatic walk-off birdies-first as a guest of Larry Shealy, and later as a member alongside his guest, Mike Lott. When he wasn't on the greens, Brent was cheering on his Georgia Bulldogs, and he cherished being present for both recent National Championship victories.
Service to others was a cornerstone of Brent's life. He served on the board of Sunshine on a Ranney Day and founded the inaugural Sunshine on a Ranney Fairway golf tournament, thoughtfully combining his passion for the game with his desire to support children with special needs.
Brent was a quiet, steady presence-an unassuming peacekeeper and deeply loyal friend. In recent years, he was known for his unmistakable signature mustache and a calm confidence that put everyone at ease. He did not seek the spotlight, yet his absence leaves a void that is impossible to fill.
Service Information: A memorial service will be held at Mt. Bethel Church on Monday, February 23rd at 1:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at Indian Hills Country Club.
