Brent Keith Robertson of Royse City passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 53.
Brent was born in Dallas, Texas to Glenn and Helen Robertson on July 6, 1971. He attended school in Garland and Christoval, Texas where he graduated high school. Brent joined the army in 1991 and served for 13 years. He was a member of the 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne). He did tours in Bosnia, Kosovo, and multiple in Iraq. He was awarded the Bronze Star for heroism in combat in Iraq. He was a natural leader who was strong-willed.
Brent was an adventurist, he loved fishing, hunting, skiing, diving, travelling, horticulture, and his farm animals. He loved sharing experiences and his love of life with family and friends.
Brent is survived by his daughter Rileigh Robertson, mother Helen Robertson, sister Michaelle Carney and husband Dwayne, nieces Victoria Lear and husband Noah, Nina Major and husband Ryan, along with his beloved dog Buckshot. He was preceded in death by his father Glenn Robertson and nephew Colten Carney.
Visitation will be on 11/21/24 9:30-11:00 am at Charles W. Smith Funeral Home, 2343 Gage Road, Lavon, TX 75166. Interment will follow at 1:00pm at the DFW National Cemetary, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy Dallas, TX 75211.
