Bret Allan Welch, 65, of Hutchinson, died October 31, 2023, at Hospice House. He was born July 16, 1958, in Hutchinson, to Fredrick 'Fred' James and Iris Darlene (Casto) Welch.
Bret attended Buhler High School. He went on to be a business man, always wheeling and dealing. He started Family Affair in 1996 to present, in Hutchinson. Bret also had other shops in Wichita. He had a great personality and always very humorous. In addition, Bret enjoyed motorcycles, playing the drums, fishing, camping, wood working, listening to Rock and Roll, and hanging out with his friends. He will be missed dearly by all.
On July 3, 1995, he married Rochelle Elaine Imel, in Hutchinson.
Bret is survived by: his wife, Rochelle Welch of Hutchinson; children, Brandon Bret (Keta) Welch of Hutchinson, Keeliza (J.C.) Loewen of Hutchinson, Laston Welch of Hutchinson, Erica Vierthaler of Wichita, Adrienne Vierthaler of Hutchinson; sister, Brenda Klug; bonus brother, Mark Klug; step-mom, Carla Welch; and 8 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Shawn Welch; and nephew, Levi Pedigo.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2023, at CrossPoint Church, 1410 E 30th Ave., Hutchinson. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park. Visitation will be Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
Bret loved Tie Dye and Rock and Roll, the family requested that those attending the service are more than welcome to wear their best tie dye or Rock and Roll shirts and jeans.
Memorials are suggested to Bret Welch Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
