Maegan Rae Byard, 46, died June 30, 2025, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born November 6, 1978, in Lyons, to Dennis Lee and Vickie J. (Johannsen) Byard.
Maegan attended both Hutchinson High School and Buhler High School. Known for her competitive spirit and drive, she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, playing darts, and searching for rocks in the river. Maegan was an avid thrifter, and had a special talent for turning thrifting finds into amazing and beautiful décor.
Maegan is survived by: children, Noah Delgado, Emily Delgado, and Maylee Marie Morales; mother, Vickie J. Byard; granddaughter, Kalani Lee Ruiz; companion, Matthew Morales; brothers, Chris Byard (Nikkee) and Matt Byard (Christina), all of Hutchinson; and nieces and nephews, Avery Byard, Korree Byard, Tanner Byard, Jace Byard, and Ada Byard.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Dennis; maternal grandparents, Robert and Ella Mae Johannsen; and paternal grandparents, Howard and Dorothy Byard.
Celebration of Life service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Elliott Chapel. Friends may sign her book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Maegan Byard Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501. To benefit the Maegan Byard Memorial Fund, please make the check payable to Elliott Mortuary.
