Brett Kevin Gess, age 55, of Wampum, Pennsylvania passed away January 9th 2024. He is survived by his wife Lori, children: Jared, Robin, Paul and Josh with four grandchildren and one expected. Brett was incredibly proud of his wife's and children's military service.
Brett was born November 26,1968 in Winter Park, Florida – the first-born child of David and Grace Gess. He became big brother to Shawn, Tiffany, Keisha, Ericka, Carrie, Anthony, Kyle and Annie. His father, David and youngest brother Kyle preceded him in death.
Brett graduated from Northwest High School in Jackson, Michigan class of 1987 and loved his participation in Jack Town Packers trip out west the summer of 1987.
He attended Michigan Tech in Michigan's Upper Peninsula majoring in Forestry. This love of nature stayed with Brett his entire life, as he loved fishing, hunting and enjoying the great outdoors.
Brett spent much of his career in the construction field and his last employer was Wilson Excavating. During his time there he spoke of his love to teach others what he knew while still learning from them every day.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
Because Brett accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour, we know he is now experiencing what it is to be face to face with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Memorial services will be held at Center Lake Fitness, 3859 Hoyer Road, Jackson, Michigan at 4pm Saturday, February 3rd 2024.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum.
