Portsmouth – Brett W. O'Hara, 62, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Lisa A. (Bosworth) O'Hara. Born in Attleboro, he was a son of the late John E. and Shirley E. (Johnson) O'Hara.
Brett worked for many years for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. He was an avid classic movie buff and loved collecting movie memorabilia and celebrity autographs. Brett was a throwback to earlier days and was a huge fan of music from the 1960's, 70's and 80's.
Above all, he was devoted to his family and loved spending time with his two grandchildren, whom he adored. Brett will be lovingly remembered as a loyal family member and friend who would go out of his way to help anyone who needed a hand.
Besides his wife, Brett leaves a daughter, Lindsey E. O'Hara of Portsmouth; two grandchildren, Iris "Rudys" Dixey and Oscar "Meyer" Dixey, siblings, Brian, Wayne, Michael, and Jason O'Hara; three brothers-in-law, Don, Scott, and Jeff Bosworth and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Christopher A. O'Hara.
A Celebration of Brett's Life will be held at a date to be announced. In lieu of flowers or donations, do what Brett would do, help a stranger, love your people hard and don't give a fuck about what anyone thinks of you, just be you. Arrangements are entrusted to William W. Tripp Funeral Home, Pawtucket, RI TrippFuneralHome.com

I will always remember Brett because he was just the most relaxed, chill, funny, and sweet dude in high school. He was liked by EVERYONE and was a true friend to so many of us growing up in Seekonk. Lisa, my heart goes out to you and your entire family. May you always hold all your precious memories close. Hugs and love to you all.
Rest easy, Brett. You will be missed deeply.

I haven´t seen Brett since High School. I used to play hi low jack with him and some of his friends in the cafeteria during breakfast/study hall. I will always remember him as being a very sweet, and funny guy. Zero pretense.
To his family, you have my deepest condolences on your loss.
