Brian Andrew Ackerman

Brian Andrew Ackerman, 66, of Milford, New Hampshire died after an extended illness on Friday, December 8th in Manchester, NH. He was born November 20, 1957 in Nashua and was the son of the late Andrew and Barbara Ackerman. Brian was raised in Nashua and graduated from Bishop Guertin High School and Keene State College. He was an active member of the Phi Mu Delta Fraternity.
Brian worked for Continental Homes and Save On Wall. He was currently employed as an accountant for the Nashua Children's Home for the past 21 years.
Brian was the husband of Stephen Wilshire. Brian and Stephen were married and together for forty years. Brian is survived by his husband Steve, his brothers, Mark and Susan Ackerman, Joel and Martha Ackerman, Tim Ackerman and Roger and Laurie Memos and his childhood best friend Jon Biggles. His sisters-in-law Judi and Dennis Stevens, Janet Andrews, Deborah Duval, Lori Wilshire, and Kathy and Michael Eason, and several nieces and nephews and cousins. Brian was predeceased by his parents Bill and Barbara Ackerman, his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Brian was the co-owner of Souhegan Gardens in Milford, NH. Brian was an avid gardener who loved dirt under his fingernails and creating beautiful flower arrangements. In his youth, Brian loved spending time with his family at Rye Beach, taking long rides, playing with children of all ages and was a true dog whisperer.
SERVICES: Visiting Hours will be held at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock Street, Nashua, NH on Thursday, December 14th from 5-7pm. A Graveside Service will be held the following day, Friday, December 15th at 10am at Edgewood Cemetery, 107 Amherst Street, Nashua, NH. Family and friends are invited to attend. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the Nashua Children's Home 125 Amherst Street, Nashua, NH 03060. The DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, One Lock St., Nashua has been placed in charge of arrangements.
