Brian was a 1986 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and was the owner/operator of Mt. Vernon Farm and Home Supply.
Brian is survived by his son, Briant Barker and his wife, Joni, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; his daughter, Brianna Wallin and her husband, Clint, of Lee's Summit, Missouri; grandson, Cooper Wallin, of Lee's Summit, Missouri; three brothers, Roger Barker and his wife, Jan, of Republic, Missouri, Keith Barker and his wife, Kay, and Dean Barker, all of Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Burl, and Jerline; one sister, JoAnn Hood and one brother, Robert Barker.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Burial will follow at Summit Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025, in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Brian, can be made payable to the Mt. Vernon FFA Chapter in care of the funeral home.
