Brian Belcher Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boren-Conner Funeral Home - Jacksonville on Dec. 29, 2025.
Brian Belcher was born on April 16, 1940, in Denver, Colorado, to Thomas and Mary Belcher. He was preceded in death by his parents; his older sister, Susan Lunceford; and his beloved wife of forty-six years, Elaine E. Belcher.

He is survived by his sons, Brian and Kari Belcher of Holly Lake Ranch, TX; Brandon and Angie Belcher of Holly Lake Ranch, TX; and David Fausser of Austin, TX. He also leaves behind three granddaughters-Brianna, Samantha, and Emma Belcher-and two nephews, Tim and Judy Evans of Castle Rock, CO, and John and Erika Lunceford of Los Angeles, CA.

Brian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Houston in 1963. During the 1960s, he worked for General Electric, Philco Radio, and served as a contractor for NASA. He later earned a master's degree from Southern Methodist University in the 1970s. His technical background led him into a successful career in communications industry sales.

In the 1990s, Brian fulfilled a lifelong dream when he co-founded Mobile Mounting Solutions with his longtime friend and business partner, Larry Alexander. Together they built a thriving business, and Brian continued to contribute to its success until his retirement from full-time work in 2021.

Brian's interest in amateur (HAM) radio began in the early 1950s, and he remained an active participant in many local clubs throughout his life, including the McKinney Area Radio Club. Another of his great passions was barbershop singing. Beginning as a member of the Town North chorus-one of the groups that formed the foundation for the world-renowned Vocal Majority-Brian sang for 50 years and earned multiple international championship gold medals with the ensemble.

He and Elaine were longtime member of the Unitarian Church of Dallas.

Brian will be remembered for his warm spirit, his deep love of music and communication, and his unwavering dedication to family, friends, and to his community.

A memorial service for Brian and Elaine will be held Saturday January 10, 2025 at 11:00am at First Unitarian Church of Dallas, 4015 Normandy Ave. Dallas, Texas 75205.

I have such warm memories of both Brian and Elaine. They will live on in my heart as such giving souls who were the best friends anyone could have. They walked the talk about the inherent worth and dignity of all humans. Watching the sunset sitting on their front porch in Melissa is one of my forever memories. They both helped me be a better person.
