Brian K. Bell Sr., age 58, of Muncie, entered fully into the presence of the Lord on June 18, 2022. He was born on December 24, 1963, the son of Clifton Bell Sr. and Linda Bell (Wright).
Brian was a lifelong resident of Muncie and was a graduate of Southside High School where he was involved in several extracurricular activities including tennis and marching band.
After graduation, he worked a few different jobs, but for the majority of his adult life, he made a living as a musician. Music was his passion and the driving force in many aspects of his life. Brian was multitalented. He was known for his raspy vocals, bass playing, and song writing, but he could also teach himself to play any instrument he wanted to. He had recently taught himself to play acoustic guitar so that he could write the words and music for his praise songs and record them. He played those recordings for anyone who would listen while always making sure to tell them, "Listen to the words."
Mixed martial arts were also another love of his, and he was a third degree black belt. He spent a handful of years kickboxing and fighting in the ring before addiction would take over his life for a span of time.
Brian was larger than life. He never did anything small regardless of what it was. In October of 2012, Brian found Christ and sobriety after entering a program at the Muncie Mission. In that time, Brian graduated from Ivy Tech Community College, was inducted as a member of Phi Theta Kappa, started the Road to Redemption support and recovery program, co-authored a children's book with his wife, was placed on the Trauma-Informed Recovery-Oriented System of Care (TI-ROSC) Delaware County Change Team, and the list could go on and on. There wasn't much he didn't or couldn't do. Most of all, Brian spent his sobriety preaching the Gospel to anyone who would listen, sharing his testimony, and restoring his relationship with his family. Those were the most important things to him.
Surviving are his wife of seven years, Jennifer (Gullett) of Muncie, his mother Linda Bell of Muncie, one son, Brian Bell Jr. (Ashley) of Muncie and four daughters, Britney Weller (Rob) of Muncie, Jesica Abbott (Brandon) of Indianapolis, Sadie Matchett (Jordan) of Yorktown, and Tarin Bell of Muncie as well as ten grandchildren who were the absolute pride and joy of his life; Landon Weller, Camden Bell, Riley Weller, Carter Bell, Tayler Weller, Connor Bell, Brady Weller, Rowen Matchett, Milo Matchett, and Jovie Bell, his first wife and lifelong friend, Tina Bell and his "puppy son," Oliver who was his best friend and the light of his life.
Also surviving are all of his siblings, Lana Andrews (Jeff), Clifton Bell Jr. (Lisa), Beau Bell (Sherri), and Michelle Cook (Bret), eleven nieces and nephews, thirteen great nieces and nephews, and multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Clifton Bell Sr., both his paternal and maternal grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
