Barbara A. "Barb" Turner

Barbara A. "Barb" Turner, 68, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February, 11, 2026.

Barb was born on January 2, 1958, in Muncie, the daughter of David Hensley and Patricia "Pat" Allen. She was a graduate of Delta High School. She married Richard "Rick" Turner in 1981. Along with her husband she was the owner of the Hideout Restaurant and Lounge in Yorktown.

Barb taught kids to swim at the YMCA for many years. She also loved to work in her garden. Sewing and knitting were activities that she enjoyed along with making costumes and attending Renaissance Festivals. She was the ultimate girl scout leader, not only was she a scout leader but also helped with the maintenance and upkeep of Camp Muncie for many years.

Barb is survived by her husband of 45 years, Rick Turner; children, Nicole "Sugarbear" Turner, R. Cory (Rana) Turner, R. Conrad (Joon) Turner; grandchildren, Malachi, Logan, Garrett, and Mia; mother, Pat Allen; sisters, Jill (Paul) Young, Margaret Hensley, and Shari (John) Potter; and many nieces and nephews.

Barb was preceded by her father, David Hensley.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February, 19, 2026 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Mt. Pleasant Chapel, 7901 W. Isanogel Rd., Muncie, IN 47304.
