Brian L. "Stretch" Bohling, 64, passed away on July 7, 2024, in Loveland, CO. He was born on July 8, 1959, in Iowa, to Virgil and Joann Bohling.
He attended Geneva High School. Then Brian served in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard. Following his military service, he was married to Vicki Reed. To this union was born a daughter, Megan. Vicki passed away from ALS in 2003.
He then moved to Colorado, where he married Tamara (Tammy) Moon and worked for LaFarge, then Martin Marietta, for a total of 23 years. His work ethic and commitment to doing an excellent job, brought him admiration and respect from his co-workers and his bosses. They also enjoyed his sense of humor. His co-workers gave him the nick name "Stretch", which was very fitting.
He was also known for his big heart and his caring nature. He often put the needs of others ahead of his own.
He is survived by his wife Tamara; daughter Megan and her husband Richard Erickson and granddaughter Libby; Mother Joann; brothers Greg and his wife Martha; Robert and his wife Mhel; sister Peggy and her husband Carlos Gonzalez; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Vicki Bohling; step-son Michael Reed; and father Virgil Bohling.
A private memorial service to honor Brian's life will be held for immediate family only at a later date.
