Brian Dale Brock

Brian Dale Brock, 67, of Seymour passed away peacefully at IU Methodist Hospital on March 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 16, 1957 in Indianapolis to the late Jack W. and Rowena "Jean" (Deitz) Brock.
The Brock family moved to Seymour in 1961, and Brian graduated from Seymour High School in 1975. During his high school years, he played many sports (football, wrestling, and baseball) and loved socializing with friends. Following graduation, Brian attended Indiana University, then went to work at Pardieck, Inc. In 1984, Brian went into business for himself, opening Brock's Plumbing, where he worked until retirement. Brian loved being with friends and family. His greatest joy in life was in being with his grandchildren, attending their sporting events or just hanging out with them. He also enjoyed golf, playing poker with his Wednesday night group, and vacationing at the beach. Brian will forever be remembered for his love for his family and friends, as well as his integrity and willingness to always help others in need.
Brian is survived and will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 46 years, Carol (Haskett) Brock; his children, Brian (Cara), Chad (Rachal) and Brett (Allison); beloved grandkids, Jackson, Ella, Bryn, Grant, Nolan, and Dottie; his siblings, Brenda Jackson and Beth (Steve) Doyle; and many nieces & nephews that were dear to his heart.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Jean Brock.
Funeral services for Brian will be held Friday, March 7, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Voss and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 316 North Chestnut Street, Seymour. Mr. Matt Wieneke and Pastor Tyler Tolbert of Central Christian Church will be officiating the service. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, March 6, beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Brian will be laid to rest immediately following at Riverview Cemetery.
