Brian Chasse Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 16, 2026.
Greenville - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Joseph Chasse, 68, of Greenville, Maine, who passed away at his home on February 13, 2026. Brian was born January 24, 1958, to Irene (Daigle) and Conrad Chasse in Lincoln, Maine. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1977.

Brian was known for his eye for perfection whether it be in building beautiful homes with the Philips Brothers or fixing small engines in his workshop. He spent years restoring the family camp on North Island that will be treasured for many generations to come. There was little he couldn't fix and he was always willing to lend a hand to a neighbor or friend in need. Brian was known for his welcoming smile and had a way about him that put people at ease whether you had known him for years or just met him. He was always happiest when surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Brian loved to chat. He could strike up a conversation with anyone who was willing to listen and tell you a good story even if it was the 10th time you'd heard it.

Brian will be fondly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Janet; daughter, Melissa Letourneau and her husband, Jon; son, John Chasse and his wife, Angel; daughter Aimee Wohlforth and husband, Josh; daughter, Rebecca Van Hoven and husband, Jay; stepson, Chad Strater and wife, Nina. He will be missed by his ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family would like to make a special mention of his grandson Tyler, who was an immense source of joy in Brian's life. In recent years nothing made Brian happier than spending time with Tyler, and when they weren't together, Brian took every chance he could to talk about how much he adored him. We are grateful for the time they were able to spend together. Brian also enjoyed time with his close friend and brother-in-law, Jon Richards. Brian is survived by his siblings, Belinda and David Sinclair, David and Tina Chasse, Christine and Michael Whitten, and Robert and Traci Warman.

The family will host a private celebration of life this summer. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
