Joan Margaret Chasse

ASHLAND: Joan Margaret Chasse 83, beloved wife of the late Richard R. Chasse passed away Wednesday morning December 10, 2025 peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Windsor, CT. on August 8, 1942, the daughter of the late Henry and Marion (Wheeler) Schinnelly. Joan and Richard married on June 16, 1962. Joan worked at Times Fiber Communication in Wallingford, CT. with her husband. She worked cleaning houses and at the Ashland Food Mart for over 20 years. Joan loved her home, crocheting, making quilts, and feeding the wildlife. She loved her two cats; Maggie and Kitty Marion. She enjoyed watching TV and eating her red Maine hotdogs. She is survived by her children Richard A. Chasse and his significant other Cheryl, Robert W. Chasse and his wife Elaine, Roxanne Chasse and her husband Charles, Raymond P. Chasse and his wife Holly, and Randy H. Chasse. She will be missed by all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Roger J. Chasse, and a sister Marilyn Schinnelly. There will be no services at this time per her request. There will be a graveside service at St. Mark's Catholic Cemetery in the spring.
