Roger Chasse

Roger Chasse, 60, of Manchester, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Lovingly called "Chubby" by his family, Roger was born in Meriden, CT on April 26, 1965 to Joan (Schinnelly) Chasse and the late Richard Chasse. He graduated in Ashland, Maine and then returned to his hometown.
Roger dedicated decades of his career in facilities services to the Manchester Board of Education. While his official role was focused on maintaining the building, he was the beloved and familiar figure affectionately known as "Mr. Roger" to countless students and staff members that he looked out for over many years until his retirement. Outside of work, Roger was happiest when he was immersed in nature, whether it be fishing, camping, or riding his motorcycle. He was gifted with a wonderful mechanical mind and generous spirit, making him the family and neighborhood's trusted "Mr. Fix It." His creative passion came alive in his cherished wood shop.
In addition to his mother, Roger is survived by his children and their spouses, Nicole (Emily) Chasse, Pamela (Marcos) Cardona and Ronny (Yessenia) Bejarano; his siblings, Richard "Ricky" Chasse, Robert Chasse, Roxan Perry, Randy Chasse and Raymond Chasse; his grandchildren, whom he loved deeply, Abrianna, Eli and Silas; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
His family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday November 9th in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 10th at 11:00 am directly at Most Holy Trinity Church, 84 North Colony Street, Wallingford. Burial will be held privately.
