Dr. Brian C. Connolly

Dr. Brian C. Connolly, 80 of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, he lived in Pittsburgh, PA. and Orlando, Fl. before settling in Toms River in 1973.
Brian proudly served his country as a dental officer in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. He went on to establish a successful dental practice at Oak Ridge Dental Group in Toms River. Brian graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University, he received his Doctorate in Dentistry from the University of Pittsburgh, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He was a well-respected dental professional, often offering his services free of charge to the 'needy'.
He was a dedicated parishioner of St. Joseph RC Church in Toms River, NJ. Brian was the Spiritual Advisor and Board member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, a cause he was deeply passionate about, engaging in various community events and home visits alongside of his beloved wife.
Brian is reunited in Heaven with his parents Carl and Loretta (DeAngelis) Connolly.
He will be forever cherished and held in the hearts of his loving family; his wife and soulmate of 58 years, Olana (Bycsek) Connolly, daughter Christine Connolly, daughter Melissa Coulther, his brothers Carl and Mark Connolly, four granddaughters who affectionately knew him as "Grandpop"- Ashley Schumacher, Olivia Coulther, Camryn Coulther and Kylie Coulther as well as numerous family members, friends, colleagues and patients, all of whom he adored.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 1pm to 5pm at the Carmona Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St. Toms River NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 21,2025 at 10am at St. Joseph RC Church, 650 Hooper Ave., Toms River, NJ Interment will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery, 80 Cedar Grove Rd., Toms River, NJ In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Joseph St. Vincent de Paul Society in memory of Brian.
