East Lyme- Brian Timothy Dagle, 19, of Bobwhite Lane died unexpectedly on Saturday November 12, 2011. Brian was born in Albany, NY on April 2, 1992. He attended St. Clements Elementary School, Flanders Elementary School, East Lyme Middle School and graduated from East Lyme High School in 2010. He was a sophomore attending Castleton State College in Castleton, VT, majoring in education, with ambitions to teach elementary education abroad. Brian was an avid snowboarder………….rumored to hit the slopes as many as 48 times during the 2010/2011 season. He enjoyed traveling to numerous locations with his best friend Will Calkins and family. He loved being surrounded by his family, close friends his dogs and his cats. He loved playing Lacrosse for East Lyme High School and the Southeast Selects. He thoroughly enjoyed his summers counseling kids at East Lyme Parks and Recreation. He was a huge New England Patriots fan and enjoyed a variety music, ultimate frisbee, hiking the Vermont mountains and fishing. Brian was a kind, caring and loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He was happiest when he was making others happy, his smile was infectious and he lived his short life to the fullest. His special bond with his mother will never be broken and his love for all that knew him will forever be in our hearts. He is survived by his loving mother and father Ann Irr and Paul T. Dagle, his brothers A.J. and Matt, paternal grandparents Timothy and Kathleen Dagle of Worcester, MA., Aunt Donna Kaufman and husband Charlie, Aunt Carol Ruiter and husband Dan, Uncle Michael Dagle and his wife Terri, Aunt Kathy Sacco and husband Pat, Aunt Nancy Omalley, cousins Laurie, Pamela, Amy, Michael, Ryan, Jonathan, Brianna, Kyle, Patrick, Christina, Katy, Josh and Joey. He was predeceased by his brother Timothy and his maternal grandparents Alberta and Louis Irr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 11 O'clock at St. Matthias Church, Chesterfield Road, East Lyme. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 5 to 9 pm at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, 48 Grand Street, Niantic. Donations in his memory may be made to the East Lyme Youth Services, 45 Society Road, Niantic, CT 06357.
