Brian Fischer, age 66, of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away peacefully at his home in the early morning hours of October 11, 2024. Brian was born on May 5, 1958, in Rochester, New York to Margaret Wallace and Donald Fischer. He was a devoted son, father, brother, and friend. He will be forever remembered for his humor, generosity, and kindness.
Brian attended the Ohio Institute of Technology and graduated with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He then attended John's Hopkin's University and Loyola College of Maryland, receiving a master's in engineering and master's in business administration, respectively. He dedicated himself to the aerospace industry, working on numerous satellites, space shuttles, and government projects throughout his career. He was also passionate about serving his church and enjoyed spending his time building its audio-visual ministry.
Brian is survived by his daughter, Maggie, and brother, Jon. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret, and father, Donald.
A memorial service will be held on October 19, 2024, at 3:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Gilbert. Family, friends, and those whose lives Brian touched are invited to attend and celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Gilbert. All donations will go towards continuing Brian's mission to enhance the worship experience through technology.
